You start in the Córdoba hills, where the Kangoo you're driving is built. West to Mendoza: wineries, Aconcagua on the horizon. Then Ruta 40 gets serious — Talampaya, Cafayate, the Quebrada de las Conchas — until you roll into Salta la Linda.
